The guiding mission of Télécom Paris is to train, imagine and undertake to design digital models, technologies and solutions for a society and economy that respect people and their environment.
We are looking for an Assistant Professor of visual computing. You will join the Image, Data, Signal Departement (IDS) of the Information and Communication Processing Laboratory (LTCI).
Scientific context:
The LTCI team is involved in theoretical, methodological and applied research in the field of mathematical modeling of images, computer vision, artificial intelligence and computer graphics.
Exceptional candidates in the fields of visual computing in a broad sense (image processing and analysis, computer vision, computer graphics, etc.) will be considered.
In accordance with the scientific positioning of the team, methodological profiles in applied mathematics or artificial intelligence for digital images will be considered as well as more applied profiles (in particular in the fields of remote sensing, bio-medical imaging or digital photography).
Your main responsibilities will be:
- To participate in the design and implement courses in their scientific field
- To conduct research
- To participate in the development of partnerships, collaborations, and contractual agreements in their scientific field
Profil

Compétences
To succeed in this role, you have an in-depth theoretical or applied knowledge in your field of expertise. You have an excellent command of spoken and written English. You have a PhD.
Preferred scientific expertise :
The candidate must have skills and abilities in the fields of image processing, computer vision and/or artificial intelligence, with a strong background in applied mathematics and/or computer science.
Particular attention will be paid to scientific skills in the following areas:
- Machine learning, deep learning
- Explainable AI
- Mathematical modeling of images (variational, Bayesian, sparse approaches, etc.)
- Generative models for image restoration, editing, rendering and synthesis
- Domain adaptation, transfer learning
- Weakly supervised learning, self-supervised learning.
- Models adapted to sensors (digital photography, radar imagery, multi-spectral imagery, radiography, etc.)
- Applications in remote sensing, bio-medical imaging, computational photography, computer graphics
The candidate must also demonstrate pedagogical skills and be able to teach in the fields of imaging in a broad sense, signal processing, artificial intelligence and/or applied mathematics, depending on her or his background. He or she must be able to provide teaching at Bachelor and Master's levels and also to participate in project tutoring.
