The Partnership, Knowledge & Technology Transfer office (PaKTTo) is a young, inclusive and very dynamic team! Transfer activities are booming at the University and the workload is supported by a friendly atmosphere and daily exchanges within the team.
Profil
Missions:
- participate in the identification and analysis of potential transfer projects, alongside the support staff in the research teams and at PaKTTo
- integrate 4 to 5 maturation and development projects as part of the project team led by a scientific manager, to ensure that the progress of the projects is in line with the development plan defined upstream,
- Participate in writing applications for national or international funding, in particular to develop proofs of concept (e.g. FNR-JUMP program, ERC-PoC)
- Participate in the search for market/industry/user information; understand, analyse and formalise potential use cases for technologies; search for industrial or institutional partners (possibly interacting with players in the Luxembourg innovation ecosystem and with experts recruited to support the projects’ Business approach).
- reporting on activities to the PaKTTo team (colleagues and manager) and liaising with the projects’ teams
- prepare interim and final reports to the FNR for the KITS project
Compétences
- Scientific background (Masters, PhD, Ing...), with experience in technology transfer, innovation or valorisation of public research
- Very good command of English and at least one other official language in Luxembourg
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a variety of people involved in technology transfer projects (academic researchers, research support teams, business experts, lawyers, etc)
- Successful project management experience
- Synthesis skills
- Good knowledge of the business environment and of the activities involved in marketing or disseminating knowledge to users
- Good command of information search tools, particularly those based on AI technologies
- Knowledge of entrepreneurship and start-ups is an advantage
- Experience of scientific projects
- Knowledge of intellectual property issues and tools
